Owner & Principal Designer

Susan Carducci

Susan has worked in the design industry for many years and it is working with clients that she enjoys the most. “It is a great privilege to be able to work with clients over the years and continue to work with them today.” She has gained their trust to create the spaces that reflect their individual style to work with their home and lifestyle. She loves to collaborate with her clients to create a space that they will love and enjoy living in. Together with her experience, knowledge and awareness the planning begins.

Susan graduated from Ryerson University in 1993 where she obtained her Bachelors of Applied Arts Interior Design (B.A.A.I.D). Upon graduating Susan began working for one of Toronto’s most established retail furniture showrooms.

Susan’s passion for working with fine furniture allowed her to expand and develop a great knowledge of the quality of furniture and the manufacturing process. She later moved to Durham and began working as a furniture buyer, merchandiser and designer. This exposure to seeing furniture from all over the world allows her to educate clients and specify the right product for their space. Her appreciation for architecture and history began early on with traveling to Europe many times over the years.

The details in the architecture of a home are top of mind when designing a great space. Her knowledge of construction was introduced with her family of builders. Bringing fine carpentry and the development of spaces into her designs is important, along with the appreciation of the trades and workmanship that goes into all her renovations. This allows Susan to take the bones of your home and envision the potential for the new space to be designed.

In 2014 Susan became one of the founders of 2Co Design Build Inc. providing clients with full home design services and renovations. In February 2023, Susan established her own company Design House Collective. She is excited to begin a new chapter and continue to deliver exceptional products and services to her clients. Her vision is to continue to offer clients the assistance they need to help them create spaces that function for their individual needs, making their house a home they love.

“The importance in the planning of a reno or any space is the key to a successful outcome.”

Drawing on her organizational and collaborative skills, Cheryl enjoys working with the clients through all aspects of the renovation process and seeing their joy at the final reveal.

An avid learner, Cheryl loves reading (design tomes are usually at the top of her extensive reading pile), completing DIY projects around the house and spending time with her beloved fur babies.
